Bashbari Jamia Islamia Darul Ulum Qawmi Madrasha and Orphanage was established in 2001. This is located in Bashbari area of Mawna in Gazipur District.

The purpose of the creation of this orphange cum religious education center was to help the orphans and needy young boys of this area to find a safe place to live and study so that they can become educated and self suffucuent in future. 

In 2010, few members of the foundation started supporting the institue. Currently the center has 80 young boys who are living and studying here. The center has five teachers and the students are accomodated in two small tinshed building.
